Babylight · Airtouch · French hand-painting technique

From160€

What is balayage?

Balayage is a French hand-painting hair colouring technique that creates a completely natural colour transition — dark roots that gradually lighten towards the tips, mimicking the effect of the sun.

At Ana Gago Hairsalon we specialise in balayage, babylight (very fine, luminous highlights) and airtouch (which uses compressed air to separate fine hair and create an ultra-natural blend). We always start with a personalised colour analysis to guarantee a result that flatters you.

Before every service we study your skin tone, eyes, the chemical history of your hair and the effect you are looking for. This ensures a result that suits your features and fits your lifestyle.

Frequently asked questions about balayage in Barcelona

How much does a balayage cost in Barcelona?

A full balayage (balayage, babylight or airtouch) starts from 160€. The final price depends on hair length and density. Classic or partial highlights start from 120€.

How long does a balayage appointment take?

A full balayage takes between 3 and 4 hours. Reverse balayage takes around 2h 45min and classic or partial highlights around 3 hours. Time varies with length, density and technique.

What is the difference between balayage, babylight and airtouch?

All three are freehand techniques without foil. Classic balayage creates a graduated transition. Babylight uses very fine sections for a subtler effect. Airtouch uses compressed air to create an ultra-fine, blended highlight.

How often do you need to redo a balayage?

Typically every 3 to 6 months, depending on growth and the desired effect. One of the key advantages of balayage is that regrowth looks very natural, so maintenance is less frequent.

Does balayage damage hair?

With the Nashi Argan treatment protocols we use in the salon, damage is minimal. We always carry out a prior diagnosis and adapt the technique to the condition of your hair.

Do you carry out a colour consultation before the balayage?

Yes. Before every service we analyse the chemical history, base tone and condition of the hair to choose the most suitable technique and shade and guarantee a long-lasting result.
