Balayage in the Eixample: prices, duration and how to get here

What a balayage costs in the Eixample, and why the price is a “from”
Nobody can quote a fixed balayage price without seeing your hair, and anyone who does ends up revising it on the day. The range depends on three concrete things:
- Length. A balayage below the shoulder blade uses more product and more application time than one at jaw length.
- Density. Two heads of hair the same length can involve twice the work depending on how much hair there is.
- Starting point. Virgin hair, built-up previous colour, or an earlier bleach that went wrong are three very different jobs.

- Balayage, babylight or airtouch highlights: from 160€ · 3h 45min
- Reverse balayage: from 125€ · 2h 45min
- Classic or partial highlights: from 120€ · 3h
Toning is included — it is not an extra that appears at the end. If your hair arrives with existing damage, we assess during the consultation whether it is worth adding a reconstruction treatment (Olaplex, 60€) or a Metal Remover limescale treatment (30€) before lightening. You are told before we start, never halfway through.
Which technique suits your hair
Balayage
Painted on freehand, no foils, graduating from less to more towards the ends. The result has a soft transition and no root line, so it grows out well. It is the default choice if you want brightness without committing to a retouch every six weeks.
Babylight
Very fine highlights that mimic the way a child's hair lightens in summer. It is the subtlest of the three: it adds overall luminosity rather than contrast. It works well on already-light hair, or when you want a result nobody reads as “dyed”.
Airtouch
The hair is separated with air — literally — to discard the shorter hairs and work only the long ones. The result is an extremely clean gradient, and it is the slowest and most meticulous of the three.
And one people forget: reverse balayage, for when your ends are already very light and depth needs putting back on top to recover dimension. If your problem is that you are “too blonde and flat”, that is probably what you need, not more lightness.
What the appointment looks like, hour by hour
- Consultation (15 min). Fibre condition, colour history, real base and target. This is where the price is fixed.
- Application (1h 30min – 2h). Freehand, section by section. This is the part that separates a balayage from a patch.
- Processing and checks (30–45 min). Visual checks at intervals, not a blind timer.
- Wash and toning (30 min). The final tone is decided here: cool, golden or neutral.
- Blow-dry and finish (30 min). Plus the conversation about home care, which decides the following three months.
How to reach the salon

- Sagrada Família: 5 minutes on foot along Carrer de Sardenya, or one metro stop on L2/L5.
- Fort Pienc: 8–10 minutes on foot along Carrer de Diputació. No changes.
- Glòries: 10 minutes on foot, or L1 to Glòries and down Diputació.
- Arc de Triomf: 12 minutes on foot, or L1 from Arc de Triomf.
- Poblenou / Sant Martí: L4 to Girona, or L1 to Glòries and a five-minute walk.
- Gràcia and Dreta de l'Eixample: L4 to Girona, then five minutes on foot to Diputació 410.

Do you speak English?
Yes. We work in Spanish, Catalan, English and French, so you can have the whole consultation in English — which matters for colour, where describing exactly what you want is half the job.
How long does a balayage last before it needs a retouch?
Between 3 and 6 months depending on the technique, the contrast with your base colour and your home care. Because there is no hard regrowth line, it grows out far more naturally than foil highlights, so you can space appointments out.
How far in advance should I book?
For balayage and colour services we recommend booking 1 to 2 weeks ahead. Haircuts are often available within the same week.
Does balayage damage your hair?
It is a lightening technique, so it does act on the hair fibre, but because it is painted on freehand and does not reach the roots, the damage is concentrated over a smaller area than a global bleach. We always start with a consultation and add reconstruction treatments such as Olaplex when the hair needs them.
Can I get a balayage on dyed hair or hair with greys?
Yes, but it changes the plan. On previously coloured hair we need to assess how much artificial pigment has built up, and with a high percentage of greys it is often better to combine balayage with root coverage. That is exactly what the consultation decides.
Before you book
Come with your hair as you normally wear it, ideally not washed the same day, and bring one or two reference photos. Not to copy them literally — every head of hair starts from a different place — but because a photo communicates in two seconds what “a nice blonde but natural” does not communicate in five minutes.
